About Me

My name is Hayley McManus and I have been diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder since the age of 10.

I was fortunate enough to have access to resources to help me become more socially apt, learn about myself, and become more independent as an autistic individual. In high school, I was introduced to American Sign Language, which I realized would be helpful for me to use when I went nonverbal. I entered the behavioral healthcare field with the goal of finding a way to advocate for and implement usage of ASL in autism related behavioral treatment so that kids just like me are able to have an additional way to express themselves at an earlier age.
